Kabbalat Shabbat with Rabbi Jay
Bring in Shabbat with Rabbi Jay LeVine, with Traci Marx as musical lead. This service blends joyous song and prayer, warm connection, and thought-provoking learning. Our prayers will mostly be in Hebrew (with transliteration into English). Although the service will be oriented towards adults, all ages are welcome!
Rabbi Jay has compiled a playlist of many of the tunes and songs that we will sing together on Friday! You can listen to the melodies here.
Registration each month will close at 12pm on the Friday of the service.

Rabbi Jay LeVine
Rabbi Jay Asher LeVine is a life-long learner and seeker of wisdom and beauty. He is married to Rabbi Laura Rumpf and together they have two children, Ami and Nava. He was ordained through Hebrew Union College in 2016, and worked at Temple Isaiah in Lafayette, CA until 2022. His passions include mussar (Jewish virtue ethics), writing, meditation and chanting, and he is a trained Jewish Studio Project Facilitator, using an art methodology promoting healing and belonging.
