It’s About Partnership
Partnership Has Its Privileges:
- Create a New Model of Jewish Expression: Partners are on the ground floor of shaping a new and innovative approach to Jewish life.
- Individual Mentoring: Meet one-on-one with the rabbi to discuss Jewish and personal questions.
- Express Your Voice: Within the cooperative structure, partners can participate in the governance and direction of the community.
- Bargains! (Just joking. Sort of.) Partners participate in most Kavana programs at a reduced rate.
And Its Responsibilities:
- Participate Regularly: A sense of community is built on relationships. To make this happen, we ask partners to show up regularly (at least monthly).
- Make an Annual Financial Contribution: It takes money to sustain a community. To make this possible, we ask that partners make a meaningful financial contribution each year. We recommend a gift of 1% to 2% of annual gross income.
- Volunteer: Our community runs on people-power. We expect every partner to take on a job within the community. Jobs range in time commitment and scope from bringing snacks to a program to leading a programming team, or from cooking latkes to providing pro-bono professional services.

- Schedule a personal meeting with the rabbi to discuss what Judaism means to you.
- Select a job and make a financial contribution.
